The family shared the sad news of the heavyweight champion boxer’s passing through a post on Instagram.
Entrepreneur and Boxing Hall of Fame inductee George Foreman has passed away at the age of 76, as revealed by his family in an Instagram announcement from his account.
“With immense sadness, we share the news of our dear George Edward Foreman Sr.’s departure, who left us peacefully on March 21, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones,” the post stated.
Foreman, known for his prowess as a heavyweight champion boxer, was “a dedicated preacher, a loving spouse, a caring father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather,” according to the family’s statement.
“A philanthropist, an Olympic athlete, and a two-time heavyweight champion of the world. He was held in high regard – a positive force, a man of commitment, principles, and a guardian of his heritage, tirelessly working to uphold his esteemed reputation – for his family.
“We appreciate the flood of affection and prayers, and we kindly request privacy as we celebrate the remarkable life of a man we were fortunate to call our own.”
